High Jump: High Level Hurdle Pop Circle Drills
This is a high level hurdle pop circle drill, a drill used in for advanced high jump. To set up this drill, place a circle with a 12 foot radius (24 foot diameter) with hurdles on each side of the circle. This drill promotes proper lean through the take off leaning at the ankle and not at the waist, keeping that lean all the way through take off. The higher hurdle allows the athlete to focus on driving the swing leg (knee) up as aggressively as possible creating vertical lift through the take off.
