Weight Training: Barbell Clean Pull

This movement is the barbell clean pull. The athlete should set up for this movement with a flat back at the bottom position and the bar pulled in, close to the shins. After initiating the movement the athlete should explosively extend the hips and knees, and allow the bar to rise after passing the knees. Two things to watch out for when preforming this movement are that the athlete maintains a neutral spine for the full range of motion and that the bar travels in a straight path.
