High Jump: Straight Line 8 Step Rhythm Approach
This is a straight line, 8 step rhythm approach used by high jumpers, the most typical approach used in the high jump. The athlete runs a straight line off of the high jump apron focused on having a consistent first two steps developing rhythm throughout the run, jumping on the 8th step. The athlete will do this multiple times marking their 8th step. Once there is a consistent mark, draw a straight line and measure from the athletes starting point.
