Javelin: Standing and Shuffle Ball Drills
This is this standing javelin ball throw with a left arm block. The athlete holds the left arm out then simply pulls the left fist to the left armpit, keeping the shoulders square on the finish.

The shuffle bound throw is used to teach are javelin throwers to get the right and left feet down appropriately. It's a right left, right left, timing drill focused on getting the left foot down quickly.

The standing javelin ball throw, holding the left arm out is devised to stop the athletes from pulling the left shoulder away on the throw. We want to hold the left arm straight and keep the shoulders square to the finish.
