Weight Training: Walking Dumbbell Lunge
This movement is the walking dumbbell lunge. When beginning this movement the athlete should brace their core and back to maintain an upright torso and a flat back through the entire range of motion. When done properly it will train each leg independently with the muscles involved in hip extension. It is important to try to achieve full hip extension with the rear leg on each step so that the knee of the back leg and the heel of the front leg don't come too close together.
